Formerly known as Blaenrhyddnant, Hill Cottage is a Welsh longhouse dating from 17th century with loads of traditional character, country chic and mod. cons.
Beams, flagstones, wood burner, roses around the door, views accross to Pen-y-Fan, surrounded by nature and animals.
Slate tiled entrace hall, with oak chest and plenty of room for muddy boots, leads to open flagstoned kitchen, dining room with snug or cwtch at one end which has amazing views accross to the Beacons. Modern fitten kitchen with fullsized electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave and fidge/freezer.
Also accessed from the hall is a large wetroom with disabled toilet. The hall way leads to the spacious lounge with comfy sofas, chairs, wood burner and with a mix of traditional furniture this room oozes charm. From the lounge you can enter the garden room which has double doors that open to the back of the property where there is a small enclosed garden surrounded by fields. This is a room to hide away with your book and glass of wine, you could write that novel or even play with some of the traditional games supplied.
Up stairs there are three bedrooms furnished in a traditional style with modern additions. A single (with bed and cotbed), a twin and a double. There is also another shower room with toilet.
The walls are decorated with a range of atractive drawings, paintings and prints all helping to make this a real home from home.
These pictures do not do the cottage justice as they were just quick with my mobile, we await a more professional attempt.
Dogs & cats are welcome but should be kept under control at all times. Horses and ponies are also welcome. Please check out the Riding, horses & stabling page for more information
